Royal Borough of Kingston - Memorial Gardens Rubbing Posts

A selection of 6 plants local to the Kingston area, presented in an interactive format.

As part of the remodelling of Kingston’s Memorial Gardens, we were commissioned to create illustrated designs for rubbing posts.

Naia Okking, an MA Animation student, created the designs which are now permanently installed and ready for children and adults to interact with. Each post has 2 unique illustrations, one as a 3D relief that can be etched on paper, and another on the printed explainer text.

You can go visit the rubbing posts at Memorial Gardens in the heart of Kingston. It is publicly accessible 24/7, 365 days a year.
